Solubor (Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate, Na₂B₈O₁₃·4H₂O) is the most concentrated boron source in agriculture at 20% boron content. Its exceptionally high water solubility (200 g/L at 25°C — 4× higher than boric acid) makes it the preferred choice for foliar spray, fertigation and tank mix applications where rapid dissolution is required.
The high solubility of Solubor eliminates the warm-water dissolution that is sometimes needed with boric acid, making it more practical for field spray operations. It is compatible with most fertilizers and pesticides in tank mix at recommended rates.
Solubor is approved under FCO for agricultural use in India and is widely used in export-crop boron programmes where consistent, high-efficacy boron delivery is required. The sodium content (Na) is negligible at agricultural use rates and does not cause sodium toxicity in soil.
