Common Causes of Yellow Leaves in Tomato

• Nitrogen deficiency — old leaves yellow
• Early blight (Alternaria) — yellow halo around brown spots
• Septoria leaf spot — small spots with yellow border
• Mosaic virus — mottled yellow-green
• Magnesium deficiency — interveinal yellowing older leaves

Treatment

For N: Calcium Nitrate 2kg/acre/week drip. For early blight: Mancozeb 2.5g/L + Chlorothalonil 75% 2g/L. For viral: no cure — remove affected plants, control aphid vectors.

Prevention

Avoid excess ammonium, maintain even soil moisture, spray copper fungicide preventively, use virus-resistant varieties.
