Yellow Leaves in Mango

Common Causes

• Iron deficiency — young leaf interveinal chlorosis
• Nitrogen deficiency — pale green older leaves
• Magnesium deficiency — margins yellow on mature leaves
• Mango malformation virus — distorted + yellow flush

Treatment

Iron: Iron DTPA 1g/L foliar or Iron EDDHA soil 50g/tree. Nitrogen: Urea 100g/tree soil application.

Prevention

Annual micronutrient program, soil pH management.
